Honda CR125 Shifter Kart Engines

 

Honda Moto Shifter Kart Engines Logo ImageThe "Moto" Honda CR125 is the most common shifter engine platform in the US. Its ability to make power, Honda reliability and the availability of reasonably priced parts have made this the moto engine choice for most racers. SRS has made hundreds of dyno pulls and spent countless hours track testing to deliver an engine package with the power and reliability to put you in the Winner's Circle.

 

Stock 125

The engines destined for “stock” class racing are assembled from dyno developed stock parts combinations to achieve maximum performance within the rules for the class. The crankshaft is “slip fit” and trued. Power valve plugs are precision blended to the port and sealed. The cylinder diamond honed to insure roundness and proper piston clearance. A pulse fitting is installed in the crankcase and unused engine cover holes are plugged. Finally the engine is carefully assembled and measured to insure all the component parts are within strict tolerances.

The engine package comes ready to run with dual pump carb, pumps, billet o-ringed exhaust manifold, pipe, pipe mount, silencer and ignition. If you want high performance with reliability and low maintenance, the SRS Stock CR125 package is for you.

Also offered is the engine adaptor package with air filter, shock isolated coil mount, quality wire and spark plug connector, “Y” connector for water hoses, jet selection, jet organizer, shifter J-arm, stainless steel exhaust springs and stainless steel silencer mount.

 

Modified 125 Road Race Packages

The CR125 Road race package is dyno developed to provide high peak power for long straightaway operation coupled with high torque below peak power rpms. This insures continued acceleration after an upshift at high speeds. The crankshaft is “slip fit” and trued. Power valve plugs are precision blended to the port and sealed. The cylinder diamond honed to insure roundness and proper piston clearance. The head is machined for o-rings and a new combustion chamber. A pulse fitting is installed in the crankcase, the kick starter boss is machined and welded for carb clearance, bearing pockets are sized for roundness and unused engine cover holes are plugged. Adjustments are made to port configuration, intake tract, head configuration, exhaust and ignition to control detonation, thus insuring that the engine will maintain high performance. Finally the engine is carefully assembled and measured to insure all the component parts are within strict tolerances.

The engine package comes ready to run with special reed assembly, dual pump carb, pumps, billet o-ringed exhaust manifold, pipe, pipe mount, silencer and custom programmed ignition.

Also offered is the engine adaptor package with air filter, shock isolated coil mount, quality wire and spark plug connector, “Y” connector for water hoses, jet selection, jet organizer, shifter J-arm, stainless steel exhaust springs and stainless steel silencer mount.
